2025 Hempstead Watermelon Queen – Madison Chandler
Madison was crowned the 2025 Hempstead Watermelon Queen for her outstanding dedication and record-breaking achievement of selling 10,000 raffle tickets and securing $2,450 in sponsorships. Madison will represent the Hempstead Watermelon Festival and her community with grace, poise, and excellence!

Madison will be a senior at Hempstead High School, where she ranks in the top 10% of her class. She is an active member of the Hempstead Beta Club and plays on the Girls Varsity Basketball Team. Madison is also taking college courses through the Blinn College Dual Credit Program and is a member of the Champion Cowboy Church. Madison plans to attend Texas A&M University to earn her Bachelor of Science degree. Afterward, she will pursue a Master of Science degree in Anesthesiology, with the goal of becoming an Anesthesiologist Assistant.
Madison was also the 2021 Hempstead Watermelon Festival Princess.
